Oldham Island is an island off the Mawson Coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In Utstikkar Bay , it is located in the eastern part of the Stanton Group .
Norwegian cartographers, who named it Andøya (Norwegian for Duck Island ), mapped it using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia, on the other hand, named them after Wilfrid Hugh Oldham (* 1924), biologist and geomagnetist at Mawson Station in 1955.
