Ole Christensen

Ole Christensen (born May 7, 1955 in Pandrup , North Jutland ) is a Danish politician and member of the European Parliament . He is a member of the Social Democrats of Denmark , which is part of the European Socialist Party , and is a member of the Labor and Social Affairs Committee in the European Parliament.

Christensen is a trained business economist. 1971 to 1976 he worked as a hardware dealer . In 1976 he joined the Queen's body regiment and served there until 1990. From 1980 to 1990 he was a works council in the Queen's body regiment.

In 1990 Christensen completed his training as a competitive sports trainer / consultant at the Aalborg trainer school. He then worked there as a subject teacher until 1992. This was followed by various consulting activities, such as management consultant in the Aalborg Chamber of Commerce (1992 to 1998), labor market consultant at the SID North Jutland trade union (2002 to 2004) and, since 2004, consultant to the Danish trade union federation Landsorganisation i Danmark in North Jutland .

Christensen's political career began in the 1980s. From 1982 to 1989 he was deputy chairman of the Brovst section of the Landsorganisation i Danmark and from 1984 to 1988 a member of the board of the HKKF soldiers 'and non-commissioned officers' union, which is a member of the trade union federation. From 1989 to 2004 Christensen was a member of Brovst City Council . During this time he was mayor from 1998 to 2002 and vice-mayor of the city from 2002 to 2004.

Christensen was Vice-Chairman of the North Jutland Labor Market Council (2001 to 2004), Chairman of the Social Committee and member of the Council of the North Jutland Municipal Association (2002 to 2004).
