Ole Krarup
Ole Krarup (born March 17, 1935 in Aarhus ; † October 7, 2017 ) was a Danish politician of the party Folkebevægelsen mod EU ("People's movement against the EU").
Political career
From 1994, Krarup was, alongside his party colleague Lis Jensen, one of two members of his party in the European Parliament , from the 1999 election as the only representative where he belonged to the Confederal Group of the European United Left . Most recently, he was a member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs , the Committee on Budgetary Control and the Delegation for Relations with South Africa, as well as a deputy to the Committee on Constitutional Affairs and the Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly .
In 2006 he retired and on January 1, 2007 Søren Bo Søndergaard replaced him in the European Parliament.
