Oleksij Serhijowytsch Kasjanow ( Ukrainian Олексій Сергійович Касьянов , English transcription Oleksiy Kasyanov ; born August 26, 1985 in Stachanow ) is a Ukrainian decathlete .
In 2008 he became Ukrainian champion and stayed above the 8000 mark for the first time with 8086 points. At the Olympic Games in Beijing , he was seventh with 8238 points.
At the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships in American Portland he won in the heptathlon with 6182 points the silver medal. At the 2017 World Championships in London, he finished sixth.
Oleksiy Kasyanov is 1.90 m tall and weighs 81 kg.
