Olga Alexandrovna Sanfirowa ( Russian Ольга Александровна Санфирова * April 19 jul. / 2 May  1917 greg. In Samara ; † 13 December 1944 in Pultusk ) was a Soviet bomber pilot .

Life

During the Second World War , she did military service with the night witches , which consisted of women only , who flew combat missions at night with simple Polikarpow Po-2 biplanes .

Olga Sanfirowa was shot down on her 630th mission.

Posthumously she was given the title Hero of the Soviet Union .
