Olha Berezneva

Olha Bereznjewa ( Ukrainian Ольга Береснева ; born October 12, 1985 in Mariupol ) is a Ukrainian swimmer .

Berezneva took part in the Olympic Games in 2000 and 2004, where she was eliminated in the preliminaries over 400 and 800 m freestyle. She later switched to the long distance and won the gold medal over 25 km at the 2010 European Swimming Championships . In 2011 she reached fourth place at the World Swimming Championships . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she was seventh over 10 km. At the 2012 European Open Water Championships , she was sixth in the team competition. After subsequent analyzes of the doping samples from London, in which Epo was found, it was retroactively banned by the IOC in 2015 and its result deleted.
