Olgino ( Russian О́льгино ) is a historic area in the Lachta-Olgino municipal district , in Saint Petersburg , Russia . It is located southwest of Lachta and east of Lissi Nos . This area on the coast of the Neva Bay was owned by Count Stenbock-Fermor , who was of Swedish descent, and gave it the derived name of his wife, Olga, in the mid- 19th century . In the early 20th century , Olgino became a thriving dacha settlement north of the Russian capital. Among its residents was the poet Kornei Ivanovich Chukovsky . In January 1963, Olgino was incorporated into the city of Leningrad. It is considered to be the St. Petersburg counterpart to Rublevka , the most exclusive area near Moscow . There is also an archaeological excavation site near Olgino .
