history
Olympia Bucharest was founded in 1904 by German and Romanian workers from Bucharest factories. Later students from Bucharest also joined the association. In the first two events of the Romanian football championship, Olympia won the title in 1910 and 1911 . After that, the team gradually fell apart: some players switched to rival Colentina Bucharest , others preferred to play rugby over football. In 1915 the club finally dissolved itself.
After the First World War , it took some time before the association was re-established under the name Olimpia in 1921. Except for the season 1927/28 (participation in the championship finals) but Olimpia was not able, and always failed because of the regional championship of Bucharest or played in the earlier successes Divizia B or Divizia C . After the Second World War , the association finally dissolved.
