Marie-Olive Lembe Kabange , née Marie Olive Lembe di Sita , (born July 29, 1976 in Kailo , Maniema , Zaire ) was the première dame of the Democratic Republic of the Congo until 2018 .

Marie-Olive Lembe Kabange was born to Barnabé di Sita and Léonie Kasembe Okomba . After the death of her father, she was raised by her mother, who married again, in about 30 kilometers from Goma in North Kivu situated place Kirotshe on. From 1982 to 1987 she attended the École Mushindi . She then continued her training in Goma at the Maendeleo Institute there until 1992 .

She was the long-time fiancée of President Joseph Kabila . The couple was married on June 17, 2006 by the Archbishop of Kinshasa . The couple have two children, their daughter Sifa Kabila, born in 2001, who she named after Kabila's mother Sifa Mahanya , who was premier lady before her , and their son Laurent Désiré Kabila. While Joseph Kabila is a Protestant , Olive Lembe is a member of the Catholic Church . One year after her marriage, she founded the Asbl / Initiative Plus-OLK to support her husband 's work .

An appearance by the President's wife in October 2010 caused a sensation, in which she publicly called for a visit to the churches and for three days of prayer and fasting for the good of the country, and she herself prayed in public, whereupon her example was followed across the country.
