Oliver Brüggemann

Oliver Brüggemann (born January 24, 1967 in Lüneburg ) is a German chemist and university professor. He is Professor of Polymer Chemistry at Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz and heads the Institute for Polymer Chemistry .

Life

From 1988 to 1994 Oliver Brüggemann studied chemistry at the University of Hanover . As part of his doctorate, he researched a. a. at the Institute of Food Research in Reading , England and at the ETH Lausanne , Switzerland. In 1997 he received his doctorate in technical chemistry from the University of Hanover. After a post-doctoral stay at the Kemicentrum of the University of Lund , Sweden, he started a postdoctoral position at the TU Berlin in 1999 . There he completed his habilitation in technical chemistry in 2004.

After two years of industrial activity in polymer research at BASF in Ludwigshafen , Brüggemann accepted a professorship for chemical engineering at the Provadis University in Frankfurt-Höchst in 2006 . Since October 2007 he has headed the Institute for Polymer Chemistry at the JKU.
