Oliver Hipwood

Oliver James Hipwood is a British polo player with a handicap of 6.

He is the son of polo star Howard Hipwood . He was briefly in a relationship with Zara Phillips and has been married to model Samantha Gibbins since 2007. The wedding took place at Blair Castle , owned by the family of Hipwood's teammate Malcolm Borwick .

Career

In 1995, at the age of 18, he won the British Gold Cup in a team with Carlos Gracida , Gonzalo Pieres and Kerry Packer .

In 2009 Vanity Fair magazine named him one of the ten hottest polo players in the world.

In January 2012 he will ride for the Sal. Oppenheim team at the St. Moritz Polo World Cup on Snow .

He is currently ranked 97th in the world with 138 points.
