Oliver Matthias

Oliver Matthias (born May 8, 1960 in Donndorf ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Life

Matthias studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin and passed the examination in 1985 as a qualified lawyer . He then took up research studies in labor law . In this context, Matthias 1989 with the investigation "socialist manifestations production relations in social production process - be covered by the socialist labor law" Dr. iur. PhD.

In 1988 Matthias became assistant judge at the Suhl District Court. In 1991 he was accepted into the higher judicial service of the Free State of Thuringia , where he initially worked as a judge at the Suhl district court. Then Matthias was used as a judge at the Eisenach Labor Court , the Gera Labor Court and the Meiningen Regional Court . In February 1995 Matthias was appointed judge at the regional court. From 1998 to 2000 he was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant . In 2001 Matthias was promoted to presiding judge at the district court of Meiningen.

On June 2, 2008 Matthias was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and the XI responsible for banking, securities and surety law . Civil Senate assigned.
