Oliver "Ollie" Martin Schriver (born December 17, 1879 in Washington, DC ; † June 28, 1947 there ) was an American sports marksman .

successes

Oliver Schriver took part in the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp . With the team he was twice Olympic champion with the army rifle in the prone position. With the small-bore rifle he missed a leading position in the individual in a standing position over 50 m, but won a third gold medal in the team competition.

Schriver held the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in the US Marines in 1920 . He won numerous competitions for the Marines rifle team, and at times also served as a shooting coach in the Marine Corps. In 1929 he said goodbye and took up a position with the National Rifle Association .
