Oliver Stang (born June 26, 1988 in Bad Bergzabern ) is a German soccer player who most recently played for SV 07 Elversberg in the Regionalliga Südwest .

Career

In his youth, Stang played for several clubs, including SG 99 Andernach , until he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach's youth team in 2005 . In Gladbach, Uli Sude and Horst Wohlers were among his coaches. After playing for Gladbach's second team in the regional league for several years, Stang moved to the third division for the second division VfL Osnabrück for the 2009/10 season , where he signed a two-year contract. After he was not part of the team in Osnabrück at first, he was more active in central defense in the second half of the season and scored two headed goals in the game against Bayern Munich II . At the end of the season, Stang achieved immediate promotion back to the 2nd Bundesliga with VfL Osnabrück. He scored his first second division goal on September 22nd, 2010 in a game against 1. FC Union Berlin . With VfL, he only landed third from last in the second division season and was relegated again. For the 2011/12 season, Oliver Stang moved to the regional division Eintracht Trier .

A season later he returned to Borussia Mönchengladbach's reserve. After a total of six years on the Lower Rhine, he moved to SV 07 Elversberg in the Regionalliga Südwest in summer 2018 . The following October he suffered cartilage damage and has been injured for almost a year since then.
