Oliver Nzuzi Niati Polo (born September 16, 1980 ) is a former Congolese soccer player .
Career
society
Nzuzi's first senior club was Renaissance FC in Kinshasa , which he left for Belgium in 1997 . From 1997 to 1999 Nzuzi was under contract with RWD Molenbeek . In his first season he was relegated with Molenbeek from the second Belgian division. After another year in the third division, the Congolese moved to Excelsior Mouscron in the top Belgian division.
After this promotion, he immediately finished fourth in the Belgian league, the following year Mouscron was seventh and Nzuzi left the club. He signed with Cercle Bruges , a second division team at the time. After only one year in Bruges he left Belgium and moved to Austria and went to Vorarlberg for SC SC Bregenz . In all years, except for 2003/04, when they finished fifth, he played with the black and whites against relegation, which then became a reality due to a 2004/05 bankruptcy. He made his debut for Bregenz on July 10, 2002 against the GAK when he came on for Thomas Eller in the 77th minute.
After the bankruptcy and the relegation of Bregenz, he moved to league rivals Sturm Graz . In the first season the Styrians finished eighth, Nzuzi was his team's top scorer. In 2007, with a deduction of 13 points, Sturm took seventh place. Thereupon Nzuzi left Austria and returned to Belgium and signed with UR Namur . His contract was terminated after just one season. From 2008 to 2010 Nzuzi was without a club and then joined the lower class RFC Luingnois . In 2015 he ended his playing career.
National team
Internationally, he came to five games for the DR Congo . He took part in the 2004 Africa Cup in Tunisia . In the games against Tunisia and Rwanda Nzuzi was used, of which in the game against Rwanda from the start. DR Congo was the last to be eliminated in the group stage.
