Olivier Rouyer (born December 1, 1955 in Nancy ) is a former French football player and coach .
The player
The striker was under contract with French first division club AS Nancy for seven years until 1981 . He then played three more years for Racing Strasbourg in Division 1 and two for Olympique Lyon in Division 2 . Olivier Rouyer has made a total of 287 first division appearances, in which he scored 84 goals. He was never able to win a championship title - in 1974 he even had to relegate with Nancy, and fourth place in the 1976/77 season was the best final placement.

Rouyer denied 1976-1981 17 games for the senior team , where he scored two goals. At the 1978 World Cup he was part of the French squad , where he was used in the last quarter of an hour of the first group game (1: 2 against Italy ) and in the last preliminary round match (3: 1 against Hungary ).

After the playing career
From 1991 to 1994 he coached AS Nancy ; In 1999 he worked for a few months in the same position at the Swiss FC Sion . In the early 21st century, he worked as a co-commentator on the live broadcasts of championship games for pay TV channel Canal + .
After the end of his sporting career, Rouyer had as gay outed .
Trivia
1977/78 he was in the victorious team of Lorraine , who won the national cup with a 1-0 (goal scorer: Michel Platini ) over OGC Nice .
