Oluf Krag , Oluf Christian Krag, Oluf Kragh (born September 23, 1870 in Hals , † September 10, 1942 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish politician and Minister of the Interior.

His parents were the master painter Laurits Christian Rudolph Kragh (1844–1895) and his wife Marentine Møller (1846–1928). Until 1928 he wrote himself "Kragh". On April 14, 1895 he married Ane Andrea Nikoline Schulz (June 3, 1870 - August 1, 1968) in Hals, daughter of the teacher Simon Jørgensen Schulz and Dorothea Krag.

In 1888 Krag began studying mathematics and in 1893 received his master's degree. He received his doctorate in this subject in 1902.

From 1897 to 1918 he was a teacher at the cathedral school in Nykøbing Falster and 1918–1921 rector of the metropolitan school in Copenhagen. In 1909 he became chairman of the Venstre in Nykøbing Falster, 1912-1918 he was chairman of the working group of left organizations in Lolland Falster. In 1914 there was an election for the Landsting for the June Basic Law of 1915. The Venstre had allied itself with the Radical Venstre and the Social Democrats against the Højre . In Lolland Falster a mandate could go to the Venstre against the Højre if all leftists stood together, but only by way of a draw. Krag was chosen, won the draw and became a member of the Landsting. His appointment as Minister of the Interior was more of a coincidence, since the Minister of the Interior Sigurd Berg died in the Venstre Neergaard government in 1921 and he became his successor. He coped with a large workload, was considered astute, so that for a long time he was considered the best head in the Landsting. He succeeded in getting the 1922 old-age pension, job placement and unemployment insurance laws through.

In 1924 he was also a member of the Folketing for the constituency of Ringkøbing. In 1933 he became chairman of the Venstre group.

But as an academic he lacked the ability to speak close to the people, so that he could never achieve particular popularity with West Jutland's Venstre. Most recently he was minister from April, when Denmark was occupied as part of the Weser Exercise , until July 1940.
