It is located in Magdeburg's Stadtfeld Ost district on the northeast side of Olvenstedter Strasse. The building, which is also listed, borders Olvenstedter Straße 12 to the south .
Architecture and history
The four and a half story plastered building was built in 1898 in the neo-baroque style . The builder was the master carpenter Carl Böhme. The six-axis facade is characterized by a two-axis, centrally arranged box bay , which is located in front of the three upper floors. It is supported by well-formed, lion-grimed consoles and is decorated with pilasters . The bay window is crowned by a triangular gable , which is decorated with an owl.
The facade is rusticated on the ground floor and the first floor . On the second and third floors there are decorations reminiscent of colossal pilasters. In addition, the facade is provided with putti and scrollwork cartouches . In the mezzanine floor , the window openings are designed as standing ovals.
In the local register of monuments , the residential and commercial building is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 82310 .
As part of the historic street, the building is seen as defining the street scene.
