Olympe (born August 13, 1989 in Amiens ; real name Joffrey Boulanger ) is a French pop singer who became known through the talent show The Voice .

biography

Joffrey Boulanger applied in 2013 under the stage name Olympe for the second season of The Voice - la plus belle voix . Already with his first appearance in the auditions with the song Born to Die (originally by Lana Del Rey ) he caused a sensation. His interpretation came to number 9 in the French charts and stayed in the top 200 beyond the end of the competition. After that, he went through battle and live shows as a favorite, but then lost in the final to Yoann Fréget , who received 0.2% more audience votes got.

Nevertheless, he was the only one of the four finalists who was able to implement his success afterwards. At the beginning of August 2013 the album Olympe was released with new recordings of the songs from the competition. It rose to number 2 on the charts and immediately achieved gold status . Just three months later he released a new single, C'est facile, in anticipation of another album with his own songs.
