History and construction
The ski area in the Axamer Lizum was built on the occasion of the 1964 Winter Olympics for alpine competitions. For the 1976 Winter Olympics , the chairlifts to the Hoadl were supplemented by the parallel Olympic lift. It was put into operation on December 20, 1975.
