Omar Mena
Omar Mena ( Omar Mena Abreu; born August 13, 1966 in La Lisa , Havana ) is a former Cuban sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .
In 1993 he won bronze over 400 m at the Central America and Caribbean Games .
In 1995 he won silver in the individual competition at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata and won the 4-by-400-meter relay . At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg he failed in the individual competition in the preliminary run and came in sixth place with the Cuban 4 x 400 meter relay.
At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he retired with the Cuban relay in the first round.
He set his personal best of 45.63 s on June 21, 1996 in Havana .
