Padiglione
The Padiglione ( Italian ), also called Basilica Umbrella , Conopeum , Umbraculum (Latin) or Ombrellino (Italian), is a yellow-red striped, cone-shaped silk umbrella, originally used to protect priests and cantors during processions , and is placed next to the Tintinnabulum , a liturgical one Bell, the insignia of a papal basilica of the Roman Catholic Church .
