On Time RTOS-32
On Time RTOS-32 ( 32-bit ) is a real- time operating system with Win32 -compatible programming interface (API) for x86 -compatible computers or embedded systems .
On Time RTOS-32 is free of charge for a term license and consists of the six library modules core, scheduler, file system, TCP / IP stack , graphical user interface and USB host stack, which are all implemented in the Microsoft LIB file format. On Time RTOS-32 can be used on systems with or without BIOS and operates the processor in 32-bit protected mode using the Memory Management Unit (MMU). This is initialized in such a way that hardware-related programming is also possible at the application level. Special device drivers are not required for this.
Microsoft Visual C / C ++ and Borland Delphi , among others, can be used as development tools , whereby the integrated debugger can be used to debug programs on the target system .
Distribution / areas of application
On Time RTOS-32 is used as a preemptive multitasking operating system for fast control and regulation systems, for example for speed controllers of steam turbines, in motor controls for orbital welding heads, in EN-50155-compatible vehicle computers (rail vehicles), or in data acquisition and control systems in testing technology.
history
On Time RTOS-32 was brought onto the market in 1996 by On Time Informatik and has been continuously developed since then.
