OneAmerica Tower (formerly American United Life Insurance Tower or AUL Tower for short ) is a skyscraper built in the 1980s in the US city of Indianapolis . The OneAmerica Tower extends over 38 floors above ground at a height of 162.46 meters, making it the second tallest building in the city.

The OneAmerica Tower is located in the center of Indianapolis near Monument Circle to the southeast . The block on which the building was built encompasses New York Street to the north, Illinois Street to the east, Ohio Street to the south, and Capitol Avenue to the west. The address is 1 American Square .

The skyscraper was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill as the headquarters of the American United Life Insurance Company . When completed in 1982, it was the tallest building in Indianapolis and remained as such until the Chase Tower was erected in 1990 .

The building has a steel frame and a façade of light brown Indiana limestone . The actual tower is in the southeast corner of the block. The side with the main entrance faces southeast. The floor plan of the tower has the shape of a horizontally drawn hexagon . From the eighth floor, two small side wings lead down in steps. The main entrance is in a three-story glass-covered vestibule.
