One 2 Many
One 2 Many was a Norwegian pop band from the 1980s , which consisted of Dag Kolsrud ( keyboardist ), Camilla Griehsel ( singer ) and Jan Gisle Ytterdal ( guitarist ).
history
The band formed in 1988 and released their debut album Mirror that same year on their music label A&M Records . The song Downtown was released as the first single on the album and became a hit in Europe and a number one hit in their native Norway . On the other side of the Atlantic, the title even made it into the American charts at number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 after its re-release in May 1989 . The original publication in 1988 reached number 65 there. They released three more songs, but the band split up in 1989, as the band's success abruptly waned and none of the songs made it to the charts and One 2 Many remained a typical one-hit Wonder of the 80s.
Kolsrud later became a member of the band Guys in Disguise, after he was already planning to start a solo career. In addition, he became the tour manager of a-ha's tours. Griehsel befriended British singer Colin Vearncombe ( Black ) and married him in 1990.
