Onur Balkan (born March 10, 1996 in İzmit ) is a Turkish road cyclist . Along with Ahmet Örken, he is one of the dominant cyclists in his country in the 2010s.

Athletic career

Between 2012 and 2014 Onur Balkan won five national road cycling titles in the youth and junior age groups. In 2015 he decided the stages of several tours for himself. The following year he was the first Turkish road race champion and successfully defended this title in the two following years. In 2016 he started at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the road race, which he could not finish. In 2018 he won the overall ranking of the Tour of Mediterranean .
