Open Camera is a free , open source camera application developed by Mark Harman for mobile phones with the Android operating system.

Dissemination & reception

Open Camera is available in many different app stores . z. B. F-Droid and Google Play . The app has already been downloaded more than 10 million times from the Google Play Store. PC-Welt praises the image stabilizer and the many functions of the app. The photo journalist Heico Neumeyer told the dpa that you can often get more out of the pictures with the manual settings of Open Camera than with apps that offer automatic correction.

Function description

Open Camera offers a clear user interface with a large number of manual setting options, which allow adaptation for different smartphones. In addition to the manual setting options, the app also offers an autofocus and an image stabilizer. The quality and resolution of the images or videos can be set as desired.
