Operation 7 is a free massively multiplayer online first-person shooter , for which Fiaa GmbH has made servers available in Europe since April 1st, 2009 . In addition, the game is also offered in the US and Asia through Mgame. In addition to the free version, a DVD is now also available in stores.

Game operations in Europe were discontinued at the turn of the year 2019, the game and the forum are no longer available.

Gameplay

The plot of the game is very similar to the title Counter-Strike . The total of up to 24 players fight against each other in two groups, mainly in the form of a deathmatch . But there are also other game modes, such as B. Headhunting, Demolition and Survival. In contrast to some other online games, you cannot play against the computer in Operation 7, only against other players. It is now possible to play with users from almost all of Europe. A big difference to most other first-person shooters is that the appearance of a player does not depend on the membership in one of the parties, but is determined by the player when creating the account and can be changed later. The only way to differentiate friend and foe is the name and life point bar above the player, which is only displayed for members of your own team. This causes problems for many beginners. However, the player can purchase glasses (IFF glasses) for virtual gold, with which the players of their own team are outlined in the respective team color (blue or yellow), which makes the friend / foe identification much easier.

The game has an extensive weapon management system in which these consist of six different parts, each of which has around four variants. The game is also considered by the Electronic Sports League - which is unusual for a free title .

For every success you get virtual gold that can be invested in other weapons. This process can also be accelerated through real money investments, which the game is also used to refinance. The experience points you get after each game help you move up in the ranks. Depending on your rank, you can then buy different weapons.

continuation

At the beginning of 2017, "Operation 7: Revolution" was a revised and expanded version for PlayStation 4 , which is initially only available in Asian countries.

On December 28, 2018, the servers for the European market were shut down.
