Opera choir
An Opera Chorus is one of a theater hired Ensemble to choral parts in operas occupy.
The size of the choir depends on the financial situation, the size of the theater and its orchestra and the repertoire. So over 100 singers can be employed in a choir of a large house. For operas by Wagner , Puccini or others, an extra choir is added at some opera houses .
Every year the magazine opernwelt awards an opera choir as " Choir of the Year " according to a survey of critics . In 2011 this was the Stuttgart State Opera Choir, before that three times in a row the choir of the Deutsche Oper Berlin .
