Senj victims

As victims of Senj ( Croatian Senjske žrtve ) are seven Croatian youth from Gospic called that on 9. May 1937 in Senj of Royal Yugoslav gendarmes were killed.

The victims wanted to take part in a celebration of the Croatian Peasant Party for the Croatian peasant leader Stjepan Radić and his brother Antun (1868-1919), who were murdered in the Yugoslav parliament in 1928 .

Others

In Senj as well as in Gospić, official memorial events for the victims take place every year. In Gospić there is a memorial street called Ulica Senjskih žrtava (Street of the Senj Victims).
