The Oratorio di San Giuseppe dei Falegnami is a Baroque church building in Palermo .

In 1499 the Brotherhood of Carpenters (Confraternita Di San Giuseppe Dei Falegnami) was founded. The church she had built she had to cede to the male order of the Theatines by decision of the Senate of Palermo in 1606 . In return, she received the newly built oratory of the Theatine monastery. Both the Theatin monastery and the Falegnami oratory had to give way to the new university building at the beginning of the 19th century.

In 1805 the brotherhood took possession of an oratory (in today's Via G. D'Alessi), which had previously been used by other brotherhoods under the name "Elevazione delle Quaranta Ore". These previous owners were also responsible for the construction and decoration of the building.

The single-nave room with barrel vault is decorated over and over with putti , medallions , grotesques and garlands, which Giuseppe Serpotta created , probably with the help of his nephew Procopio Serpotta in 1701. The original furniture comes from the 17th / 18th centuries. Century.
