Order of Jesus Christ and his Passion

The order of Jesus Christ and his Passion was a German knightly order . The founder was Karl as prince and nephew of the Elector of Saxony Johann Georg . The foundation date was February 7th, 1617. Therefore the ceremonies of the order were carried out every year on February 7th. During Holy Week (Friday and Saturday) the knights were obliged to worship.

How long the order existed is unknown.

Order decoration

The order decoration was a neck order .

A large gold medallion hung from a ribbon of blue watered order that was placed around the neck. In the middle of it was the image of the Savior . On the mantle of the Knights was either a white cross made of batiste or white-silver embroidered cross, also was on the image of the Savior.
