Order of the Oak

The Order (of) the Oak was donated to Navarre as an order of knights .

The founder was the king Garsias Ximenes (Ximunus). The year 722 is assumed to be the foundation date. The occasion was a war against the Moors . All "noble" participants in the fights were honored.

The sign of the order was a green oak with a red cross on the top. The religious clothes were white.
