Order of the Volta
Order of the Volta is the second highest civilian award of the state of Ghana to people with special service to the country.
The ribbon shows the colors red, blue, black, blue and red from right to left. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Ghana's Independence Day, President John Agyekum Kufuor awarded it to 85 public figures. President Jerry Rawlings used the 40th anniversary of independence to bestow the Order of the Volta. The Order of the Volta is also awarded on other occasions.
