The Orgelberg is an unwooded elevation near Molsdorf .

The mountain has a height of 258.3  m above sea level. NN and marks the most south-westerly "corner" of the Thuringian capital Erfurt . The field boundary to the neighboring town of Thörey in the Ilm district runs over the southern slope of the mountain .

The Erfurt motorway junction is now located on the Orgelberg, with the simultaneous transfer of the new Ebensfeld – Erfurt line, which is still under construction . The routes were partly dug into the mountain. As a requirement, appropriate terrain modeling in the Orgelberg area should create optimal noise protection for the Molsdorf Castle Park, which is adjacent to the north . Before the transport projects were built between 1996 and 1998, the Orgelberg was used for agriculture.
