The Martin's was from 1563 to 1830 coronation of the Hungarian kings, so the organ had a special meaning.
In 1881/82 a new instrument with two manuals and 34 registers was built by Vincenz Mozsny on the west gallery. This was dismantled in 2007.
Organ builder Gerald Woehl from Marburg built a new organ from 2008 to 2010. This initially had 69 registers, then 75 registers.
Disposition
The organ currently has 75 stops with four manuals and a pedal . A remote control unit with a remote pedal has already been created, which it should expand to 85 registers. The organ is the third largest in Slovakia . The disposition enables both baroque music and more modern composers to be performed.
