Francisco da Silva

Francisco da Silva (born October 10, 1943 - May 3, 2019 in East Timor ) was an East Timorese official, administrator and freedom fighter.

During the Indonesian occupation of East Timor (1975-1999) he took part in the armed resistance against the invaders. After East Timor's independence in 2002, Silva was the first administrator of the Viqueque district from 2002 to 2014 . On September 26, 2014, Silva gave up his position prematurely due to reasons of age.
