history

founding

The association was founded in 1982 in the district capital Orhangazi from the district of the same name in the province of Bursa and was in competition with the much older association Orhangazi Gençlerbirliği from the start . The club was first called Orhangazi Döktaşspor . In the summer of 2003, the club was promoted to the TFF 3rd Lig for the first time and thus took part in Turkish professional football for the first time. At the end of the season the relegation failed and so Orhangazi Döktaşspor played again in the regional amateur league. Here the immediate resurgence succeeded in the summer of 2006. After this resurgence, the club name was changed to the current form Orhangazispor . Since then, the club has played in the fourth highest Turkish league, today's TFF 3rd Lig.
