Ormøy is an inhabited island in the Byfjord in the Norwegian province of Rogaland . It belongs to the Hundvåg district of the city of Stavanger .
To the north is the island of Roaldsøy, to which there is a bridge connection over the narrow Ormøysundet . There is also a connection to the mainland via other islands. Southeast Ormøyholmen , Midtholmen and Rundeholmen , to the west, separated by the Steinsøyosen Steinsøy and Dynamittskjeret . To the north-west lies the much larger and also densely built-up island Hundvåg .
Ormøy extends in a west-east direction over about 550 meters, with a width of up to 500 meters and reaches a height of up to 25 meters. The island is largely provided, especially with higher-quality residential developments.
There is an archaeological site in the water northeast of Ormøy.
