Daisy Edgar-Jones

Daisy Edgar-Jones (born May 24, 1998 in London ) is a British actress .

Life

Daisy Edgar-Jones was the daughter of a Scottish TV Producers and one from Northern Ireland coming film editor born. She grew up in Muswell Hill and attended by the Mount School for Girls , the local Woodhouse College . At the age of 14, she was inducted into the National Youth Theater (NYT). In 2017 she was in a production of the NYT at the Yard Theater in Hackney in The Reluctant Fundamentalist as April on stage.

In 2016 she starred as Kate in the Christmas Special of the BBC sitcom Outnumbered , and since 2016 she has also had a recurring role in the ITV series Cold Feet , in which she plays Olivia Marsden. In 2017, she appeared in two episodes as Jessica Timpson in the series Silent Witness , and in 2018 she played the role of Cassie in the coming-of-age film Pond Life by Bill Buckhurst. In 2019, she played the role of Delia Rawson in two episodes of the HBO / BBC series Gentleman Jack . In 2019, she also played Emily Gresham as her film mother Sarah in the television series War of the Worlds, based on the novel by HG Wells , alongside Natasha Little . In the German version it was dubbed by Daniela Molina .

In February 2020 she made her debut at the Almeida Theater in Albion by Mike Bartlett. In the Hulu / BBC series adaptation of the novel Normal People by Sally Rooney (2020), she plays the leading female role of Marianne alongside Paul Mescal as Connell. For her portrayal, she was nominated for a TV Choice Award for best actress in 2020 .
