Coordinates: 32 ° 44 ' S , 138 ° 37' O The District Council of Orroroo Carrieton is a Local Government Area (LGA) in the Australian state of South Australia . The area is 3300 km² and has about 900 inhabitants (2016).
Orroroo Carrieton is located in the Northern Region about 240 kilometers north of the metropolis of Adelaide . The area includes 20 hamlets and localities: Belton, Bendelby, Black Rock, Carrieton, Erskine, West Erskine, Eurelia, Johnburgh, Morchard, Oladdie, Orroroo, Orroroo East, Pamatta, Pekina, Uroonda, Walloway, Wepowie, Yalpara, Yanyarrie and Yatina . The council's administrative headquarters are in Orroroo, in the south of the LGA.

The Orroroo Carrieton Council has nine members, the eight Councilors and the Chairman of the Council are elected by the residents of the LGA. The Orroroo Carrieton District Council is not divided into districts.
