Ortrun farmer

Ortrun Landmann (born May 11, 1937 in Stettin ) is a German musicologist .

Ortrun Landmann was born as the daughter of the aircraft designer and university professor Hermann Landmann . After studying and doing a doctorate at the University of Rostock , she worked as a research assistant to the conductors Otmar Suitner and Herbert Blomstedt and the music department of the Saxon State Library . From 1987 until her retirement, she headed the RISM office in Dresden at the state library.

The focus of her work on music history is the music at the Electoral Saxon court in Dresden and the work of the Saxon court orchestra .
