The radio location service ( English radiodetermination service ) is a radio service for the purpose of radio location . This uses the reception of radio waves to determine the location of an object, provided that it reflects or emits radio waves.

The radio location service is used, among other things, by direction finder stations, navigation stations, radio beacons, radar sensors, Decca chains, etc., mainly on land, but also in satellites, ships or missiles.
