Ortwin Smailus (* 1941 ) is a German Old Americanist .

Life

After graduating as Dr. phil. in Hamburg in 1973 and his habilitation in 1984 there he taught from 1984 to 1985 as a private lecturer for ancient American languages ​​and cultures and from 1985 to 2006 as professor for ancient American languages ​​and cultures.
