Orvar Löfgren

Orvar Löfgren (born October 2, 1943 ) is a Swedish ethnologist and cultural anthropologist .

Löfgren is a professor emeritus at Lund University . In 1983, 1986 and 1997 he was visiting professor at the University of California . Löfgren deals with consumption and the media. In addition, he has worked on issues of national identity and transnational mobility, e.g. B. in the areas of tourism and travel, researched.

In 2012, his work Not Doing - A Cultural Analysis of the Uneventful and Fleeting , appeared in Germany with Billy Ehn .
