history

In 1716 the old village church , of which no previous mention is known, was rebuilt and on December 17, 1716 the new church tower was erected . It was painted in 1717. Unexpected snowfall on May 25, 1705 at Pentecost brought the risk of collapse and triggered the renovation.

For the centenary on May 12, 1817, a gallery collapsed due to overload; it was renewed.

The simple baroque church has two galleries and a central pulpit , which have been carefully restored in recent years. The oldest of the bells was cast by the Mayer company from Rudolstadt .
