Schwarza is a district of the city of Blankenhain with approx. 200 inhabitants in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

history

In October 1993 Schwarza was incorporated into the city of Blankenhain . The first documentary mention took place as early as 802–817.

geography

The place is 355 m above sea level in the valley of the river of the same name on the southern edge of the wooded part of the Tannrodaer saddle. It was mentioned for the first time in a list of properties of the Fulda abbey , which was created before the year 900.

Cultural work

The central meeting point is the village community center, which has been run by a local association since the beginning of 2008. The village festival is celebrated every year, usually at the end of June.

Traffic situation

The state road I order 60, which serves as a feeder to the federal motorway 4 in the direction of Erfurt and Magdala , and the Goethe hiking trail , which connects Weimar with Großkochberg , lead through the village .
