Tim Kruse (born January 10, 1983 in Mayen ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .

Career

society

Tim Kruse started playing football in Hopesthal at TV Hoffnungsthal and then moved to the city club Union Rösrath . In 2000 he went to Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where he played in the B-Youth and after two years in the A-Youth. In these two years he was twice in the final of the German junior championship and won the title once. After only one year in youth, he was also in the squad of the second team and was used five times in the Regionalliga Nord . However, his second year with the Bayer Werkself ended with relegation to the Oberliga Nordrhein . The following year he was a regular player and played all games of the season, but after Leverkusen II had missed the immediate promotion in 2004, the defensive midfielder went back to the regional league for Fortuna Düsseldorf . There he played himself firmly in the team and was one of the players with the most appearances for Fortuna in his second year. The 2005/06 season was mixed for Kruse and he only appeared in 18 games.

The following year he then joined the regional league promoted Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and he managed to march through the league with the club and advance to professional football. From 2008 to 2011 he played for Oberhausen in the 2nd Bundesliga .

After the relegation of RWO, he moved to 1. FC Saarbrücken in the third division in the summer of 2011 . In his third year at FCS, he was sorted out during the 2013/14 winter break and signed by league rivals Hallescher FC in January 2014 . In the 2014/15 season , Kruse won the Saxony-Anhalt Cup with HFC against the league club VfL Halle 1896 . For the club, he completed a total of 71 league games and scored five goals. He was often captain in the 2015/16 season , but only started 16 times in 28 league games.

Nevertheless, he switched to FC Energie Cottbus during the summer break of 2016 , who had previously been relegated from the 3rd division to the Regionalliga Nordost . For the 2018/19 season , Kruse rose to the 3rd league as champions with FC Energie . After the end of the season, he ended his active career.

National team

During his time at Leverkusen, Tim Kruse was also appointed to the U-20 team of the German Football Association and played a total of seven times in the national jersey.

Trainer

In the first half of the 2019/20 season, Kruse assisted the coaching staff of the regional division Energie Cottbus by making videos of games and preparing subsequent video analyzes. Since Sebastian Abt took over the coaching position at Energie Cottbus in January 2020 , Kruse has been working as an assistant coach in the club.
