Lengefeld is a district of the city of Blankenhain in the Weimarer Land district , Thuringia .

geography

Lengefeld is located on the federal highway 85 3.5 km south of Blankenhain. The road leads south towards Rudolstadt . Like Neckeroda , the village is on the same high plateau as the Saale-Ilm-Platte. The district mostly has shell limestone soils remote from the groundwater, especially after the rain-like and wooded ramp from the direction of Blankenhain.

history

The village is said to have been settled by Slavs around 500 . The first documentary mention took place on April 16, 1120. The social ownership structure often changed for the place. At first it belonged to Count Wichmann. The church was built by the residents in the 17th to 18th centuries. In 1764 a new building took place. Large and medium-sized farmers lived in the village. In the 18th century they introduced weaving as a sideline and to stabilize profitability. In 2011 210 people lived in the village. There are again craftsmen, a distribution facility, boarding houses, the inn and two haulage companies; in addition, agricultural companies in the changed economic forms after the reunification.
