Neudörnfeld is a district of the city of Blankenhain in the Weimarer Land district , Thuringia .

geography

The hamlet of Neudörnfeld is about 2.5 km southeast of Blankenhain. Altdörnfeld and Neudörnfeld are south of Rottdorf behind the wooded Feldrainter terrace. Southern neighboring towns are Lengefeld and Kottenhain . Local roads connect the towns to Landesstraße 1060 and Bundesstraße 85 .

history

Although the two places are counted among the oldest in the surrounding area, April 16, 1120 is given as the first documentary mention of Neudörnfeld. For a time the hamlet lay desolate; hence the year 1120 for the first mention. Neudörnfeld is said to have only been repopulated in the 18th century. A free estate settled down. Agriculture shaped the hamlet, currently no resident trades are known.
